Jul 18, 2009
Nokia N86 8MP to Launch in the U.S.Nokia, the world's leading handset maker, said it will sell the N86 8MP -- a smartphone with an 8.0-megapixel auto-focus camera and Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens -- in the United States in the coming weeks.

The Finnish company said the N86 8MP is a true replacement for point-and-shoot cameras -- integrating a CMOS sensor, dual LED flash, 20x digital zoom, variable aperture, high-speed shutter and filters such as red-eye reduction and panorama view.

The handset also comes with a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth technology and high-speed HSDPA Internet.

The North American version of the N86 will support U.S. 3G networks and come preloaded with services such as Ovi Maps, N-Gage and Ovi Files. Users can also connect with social networking sites through its Share Online client.

The Nokia N86 8MP will be available in the coming weeks for $558 through Nokia Flagship Stores and online.
